Recently, in the statewide newspaper, The Oklahoman, I've been quoted once in a story about what indicates Fall is coming, and interviewed by reporters about the iPhone.
I didn't buy an iPhone, but I put my comments on The Oklahoman's Forum pages and discussed my experience about the drop in price regarding iPods.
I waited a long time to buy an MP3 player and decided on a Sansa unit with 2 gigabite of memory for about $100. It was a great deal and I still have the unit and may keep it for excercise or driving, we'll see.
Anyway---I recently purchased an 80 gig iPod unit and paid around $325 which is a pretty good deal. I've transferred all my music and I'm starting to winnow out the duplicate songs.
Unless you've been under a rock, you know prices dropped, you get more for less but the bottom line is that the price for an 80 gig iPod dropped by about $100.
I contacted the store I purchased the unit from after the price reduction and asked what they could do, and they volunteered to credit my account for the difference---WOW.
I was pleasantly surprised and happen to mention this to The Oklahoman. They called me and interviewed me about my experience, the story ran Saturday, but I didn't make the story. Too bad, but I tried.
