Here's the problem

Government is like a little baby, with a voracious appetite at one end and no control at the other. President Reagan said something similar.
Here's a plan for November. Sunset laws. Sunset laws are laws that require every agency to be reviewed for whether or not we need it after a period of time.
For insance, do we really need a buggy whip inspection unit that was created in 1899 to continue today? Probably not.
With all the agencies that have been created over time that were in excess of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution, where the limits of the Federal Government prevent too much influence over the states.
Now, we have an out-of-control federal government that is growing larger than anyone ever anticipated and spending huge amounts or borrowing huge debt to cover the spending of these huge government programs.
What's wrong with Sunsetting agencies, making them explain what they do and why?
I had breakfast with Sen. Tom Coburn this week, me a just 50 of his closest friends, and he said he's been asking the questions about agencies and what they do. He's found dozens of agencies with the same responsibilities. There is something wrong with a government that can't control what they do and has multiple agencies doing the same thing.
If Republicans were smart, they would make this a keystone of their efforts to retake the congress. This is something I'd vote for.
