Illegal Aliens Vs. Common Sense

If you've watched the demostrations in various cities around the nation by what are thought to be illegal aliens, you probably are wondering what's going on.
It's pretty simple and scary at the same time.
First, the media reports these demonstrations are being led by groups that support the overthrow of the United States government, they hate America and want to use this to create a wave of undocumented voters to sway elections to give the Democrats the congress, raise taxes and destroy our nation.
I'm not saying that, that's what the media reports.
It appears that people who are in the United States without proper documentation are now demanding that they be given special treatment to gain citizenship.
The proposed reform bill that was going through the Congress wasn't a good compromise because, among other things, it gave amnesty to those illegals who had already gone through the courts and told to get out of the nation.
There are laws, and if those laws aren't followed, the government needs to get tough, and since we are the government, we need to tell our congressmen how we feel.
Our borders aren't stopping ilegals from entering the U.S. That needs to be fixed.
If your home's hot water heater is leaking, you don't let the leak to continue while you install a new hot water heater, YOU FIX THE LEAK.
So, congressmen, FIX IT. Enforce the laws. And by the way, why don't you change the law back to before Bill Clinton changed the immigration rules back in the 1990's and MAKE SURE THAT anyone who is immigrating to the U. S. MUST SPEAK ENGLISH.
That's not too much to ask.
And, isn't it time we demanded that someone who wants to become an American believes in America. I'm very happy of immigrants who want to change into Americans, but that means you learn the language and the culture--you aren't a ______/American.
Remember when? The United States of America is the only place that anyone, someone from France, England, Pakistan or Russia can come and be an AMERICAN. No American can go to France and become a Frenchman, Englishman, Pakistani or Russian.
We need these people who aspire to become Americans to care about our nation as much as we do.
It's time to care about this country and our ideals, or we will lose them to the ages.
You can't just get a change in your papers and live in America without believing in America, with all the warts, we are still a world leader for human rights, freedom and all that is good in the world.
Anyone who attempts to come to the U. S. needs to believe that too, or they need to go home.
